Jetzt ist das Wochenende vorbei. Es ist Sonntagabend und ich schreibe einen weiteren Blog. Gestern hatte ich nicht so viel Lust zu schreiben, weil ich ein bisschen kaputt war. Was war denn am Freitag los? Wie ihr schon mitbekommen habt, waren wir Freitagabend unterwegs. Wir waren mit ein paar Spielern beim Vorglühen bei einem Spieler und danach noch in Bars. Die Bar, in der wir waren, war eine Mischung aus Bar und Club. Also sehr cool. Es waren viele andere Studenten da. Es hat Spaß gemacht, wir sind dann so gegen 2 Uhr nach Hause gegangen. Warum so früh? Hier in Amerika ist auch das ein bisschen anders. Die Bars haben nur bis ungefähr 2-3 Uhr auf. Danach schließen sie einfach. Das ist echt ärgerlich :).
Was meine ich mit arbeiten? Ja, ich habe gearbeitet. Ein Mitspieler aus meinem Team hat mich und Felix, einen anderen Deutschen, gefragt, ob wir in der Firma seines Vaters arbeiten wollen. Das war natürlich eine gute Gelegenheit, etwas Geld zu verdienen.
Also wurde ich am nächsten Morgen mit ca. 5 Stunden Schlaf abgeholt und bin dann zur Arbeit gegangen. Das ist eine große Firma mit großen Lagerhallen.
Sein Vater ist der Chef und war total nett zu uns. Wir dürfen das natürlich nicht an die große Glocke hängen, dass wir dort arbeiten. Die Arbeit war wirklich sehr dankbar. Ich habe noch nie so entspannt Geld verdient. Wir mussten die Kopfhörer, die zurückgeschickt wurden, auspacken und dann sortieren. Kurz zusammengefasst, das ist unsere Arbeit. Kisten auspacken, Kopfhörer aussortieren und den Rest entsorgen. Dabei haben wir uns zu dritt unterhalten, wir hatten das ganze Gebäude für uns, mein Teamkollege war mein Chef, wir haben Musik gehört und kurz vor Schluss haben wir während der Arbeitszeit die ersten Minuten von Japan gegen Deutschland gesehen. Hätte man aber auch lassen können, so wie die Spielen... Ich konnte auch während der Arbeit mit Freunden facetimen. Es war also eine sehr entspannte Arbeitsatmosphäre.
Wir werden dort in der nächsten Zeit wieder arbeiten. Wir bekommen 17 Dollar pro Stunde. Das nehme ich gerne mit. Das wird dann in Ausflüge oder Partys investiert. Gestern haben wir insgesamt 6 Stunden gearbeitet.
Auch wenn es entspannt ist, haben wir natürlich trotzdem Gas gegeben. Also nicht falsch verstehen. Nach der Arbeit habe ich mich erst mal hingelegt, um ein bisschen zu schlafen. Danach ist nichts Spektakuläres mehr passiert. Feiern konnten wir leider nicht. Das lag daran, dass wir heute Morgen um 8 Uhr Training hatten.
Wir mussten also um 7.30 Uhr los und um 8 Uhr auf dem Platz sein. Boah, war das früh. Es war echt schwer, in die Gänge zu kommen, aber als ich dann drin war, war es das beste Training, das ich hatte, seit ich hier bin. Es hat echt Spaß gemacht. Wir waren während des Trainings in zwei Teams aufgeteilt. In den Mannschaften haben wir auch verschiedene Spielformen gespielt. Am Ende gab es ein Abschlussspiel. Der Schwerpunkt des Trainings war das Pressing der gegnerischen Mannschaft. Das haben wir dann auch im Spiel gemacht. Volles Pressing und wir haben die gegnerische Mannschaft in Grund und Boden gespielt. Ich habe ein paar schöne Tore geschossen, einen Kopfball und einen Heber, aber es war die Art und Weise, wie wir gespielt haben, die so viel Spaß gemacht hat. Endlich haben wir zusammen gespielt. Schneller, guter Fußball. Doppelpässe, zusammenhalten, offensiv und motiviert haben wir gespielt. Das hat richtig Spaß gemacht.
Im Anschluss daran sind Diego und ich noch in die Turnhalle gegangen. Wieder mindestens eine Stunde. Danach waren wir auch richtig kaputt. Und obwohl das frühe Aufstehen so nervig war, war es um 11 Uhr echt geil, alles für den Tag abgehakt zu haben. Wir haben uns in der Cafeteria mit einem leckeren Omelett gestärkt und uns dann ausgeruht. Den Rest des Tages haben wir gechillt. Ich habe mich noch mit ein paar Freunden getroffen und die Zeit sinnvoll genutzt :).
Ach ja, was ich noch erwähnen wollte.
Als wir gestern gearbeitet haben, hat uns der Vater (Geschäftsführer) ein paar Sachen geschenkt. Unter anderem eine Powerbank, eine Thermoskanne und Kopfhörer. Das sind so spezielle Kopfhörer zum Joggen. Ich habe mal geschaut, wie teuer die sind. Die kosten 180 Euro ... Und die sind noch originalverpackt. Ich versuche die irgendwie zu verkaufen und wenn das nicht klappt, ist auch gut, dann habe ich neue Kopfhörer. Also echt mega cool.
Morgen, also Montag, geht's wieder in die nächste Woche, aber, ich freu mich drauf. Worauf? Wieder in der Uni von den Professoren genuschelt zu werden? Darauf freue ich mich bestimmt nicht... Am Dienstag ist unser nächstes Auswärtsspiel. Da fahren wir 4 Stunden hin. Aber morgen fahren wir in ein Hotel und schlafen dort. Also viel entspannter als die letzten Male. Dann schlafen wir morgen im Hotel und spielen Dienstag Abend um 19 Uhr. Das Beste ist, dass ich morgen Abend 3 Stunden Business verpasse, Dienstag einen Mathetest und insgesamt 3 Fächer. Schade, dass ich stattdessen unterwegs bin...
Ich denke, ihr versteht, warum ich mich freue, oder?

Party, work and training - my weekend
Well, the weekend is over. It's Sunday evening and I'm writing another blog. Yesterday I didn't feel like writing much because I was a bit tired. So what happened on Friday? As you might have noticed, we went out on Friday night. We went out with some players to a pre-game party at a player's house and then to some bars. The bar we went to was a mix between a bar and a club. So very cool. There were a lot of other students there. It was fun, we ended up going home around 2am. Why so early? It's a little different here in America. The bars are only open until 2 or 3 o'clock. After that they just close. It's really annoying :).
What do I mean by working? Yes, I was working. One of my team mates asked me and Felix, another German, if we would like to work in his father's company. Of course, this was a good opportunity to earn some money.
So I was picked up the next morning with about 5 hours of sleep and went to work. It's a big company with big warehouses.
His father is the boss and he was really nice to us. Of course, we are not allowed to announce that we work there. The work was really very grateful. I've never earned money in such a relaxed way. We had to unpack the headphones that were sent back and then sort them. In a nutshell, that's what we do. Unpack the boxes, sort out the headphones and dispose of the rest. The three of us talked, we had the whole building to ourselves, my teammate was my boss, we listened to music, and just before the end we watched the first minutes of Japan vs. Germany during work hours. But you could have left it alone, the way they play... I was also able to Facetime with friends during work. So it was a very relaxed working environment.
We will be working there again in the near future. We get paid $17 an hour. I'm happy with that. We will spend it on trips or parties. Yesterday we worked for 6 hours.
Even though it's relaxed, we still worked hard. So no misunderstandings. After work I went to bed to get some sleep. Nothing spectacular happened after that. Unfortunately we couldn't celebrate. That was because we had practice at 8 o'clock in the morning.
So we had to leave at 7:30 and be on the court at 8. Wow, that was early. It was really hard to get going, but once I got in, it was the best practice I've had since I've been here. It was really fun. We were divided into two teams for practice. In the teams we also played different types of games. At the end we had a final game. The main focus of the practice was to press the opposing team. We also did that in the game. Full press and we played the other team into the ground. I scored a couple of nice goals, a header and a lob, but it was the way we played that was so much fun. We were finally playing together. Fast, good football. Double passing, staying together, attacking and motivating each other. It was really fun.
Afterwards Diego and I went to the gym. Again, at least an hour. After that we were really exhausted. And even though getting up so early was so annoying, it was really cool at 11 o'clock to have everything checked off for the day. We had a nice omelet in the cafeteria and then rested. We spent the rest of the day chilling. I facetimed with some friends and used the time wisely :).
Oh yes, what I wanted to mention.
When we were working yesterday, the father (CEO) gave us some things. Among other things, a power bank, a thermos flask and headphones. These are special headphones for jogging. I looked up how much they cost. They cost 180 Euros... And they are still in the original box. I'll try to sell them somehow and if not, it's okay, I'll still have new headphones. So really mega cool.
Tomorrow, Monday, it's back to the next week, but I'm looking forward to it. Why is that? To be mumbled at by professors at the university again? I'm definitely not looking forward to that... .... On Tuesday we have our next away game. We'll drive 4 hours to get there. But tomorrow we'll go to a hotel and sleep there. Much more relaxed than the last times. Tomorrow we'll stay at the hotel, sleep there and play Tuesday night at 7. The best part is that I will miss 3 hours of business tomorrow night, a math test on Tuesday, and 3 subjects in total. Too bad I'll be on the road instead....
I think you guys understand why I'm excited, right?
So, I'm going to go to bed now and have a great Monday, as much as possible.
